Modal is a semi-natural fibre made from natural polymers. It is produced in special processes whereby the cellulose is dissolved and spun into threads.
Micromodal is a synthetic fibre made from natural material, namely cellulose from wood – similar to viscose. The natural starting material is beech wood from sustainable forestry. The cellulose solution is pressed at a high temperature through fine nozzles to form a delicate fibre. Modal fibres have a high water and perspiration absorption capacity – as microfibres they are more effective than cotton. So, they are an ideal support for the body’s climate regulation. Modal / micromodal gives the product a smooth surface, and the shine and the soft colours will last for a long time.
